Got a 2017?
We're taking delivery on a 2017 next month. Is it to early to ask about issues?

Stay optimistic, you don't even have it and you are asking about issues. Be positive and your Airstream will be delivered without issues! Don't worry about things when they are not there. BTW, congratulations.

Too early to start getting yourself all worked up. Stay positive. You are getting a beautiful new Airstream.

Tons of issues. Like should we go to Colorado or Maine? Or what to cook out for dinner. First world problems. Have fun.

Enjoy, relax and know many many owners take delivery with zero issues. Plan your decor, line up your trips and have fun doing so. We love ours!

Be vigilant and prepared. Second Airstream, whole new world. Just took delivery of a 2016. Seventeen issues in less than two weeks, four days in repairs and still scheduling. I am amazed, not only with the issues, but the response. Read the posts on walk through lists on this site and other non Airstream sites, print them and use them. Seems Airstream is having issues managing the expansion in product diversity and the addition of new facilities and quality has suffered. Don't confuse nostalgia with reality.

Took delivery of my 2017 23FB 3 days ago. Only issues so far is a side panel in the overhead storage fell down and they installed my Blue Ox WD hitch improperly. I know how to fix the Blue Ox but not sure how that panel is suppose to stay in place...

On my 2015 there were no major issues, but we kept a list of the minor issues and scheduled a trip to Jackson Center when the Airstream was about a year old and had the issues addressed under warranty. We lived in the Airstream for about six months total during the first year and pulled it about 20,000 miles. None of the minor issues stopped us from enjoying and using our Airstream when we wanted.
Congratulations! If this is your first Airstream, make sure you get a knowledgeable person at the dealer to make the pre-delivery presentation. They should make sure you understand all the systems and know how they operate. Don't let them just hand you the keys and manuals and sent you off the lot. Our dealer, Bill Thomas Camper Sales out of Wentzville, MO, did an excellent job. Their pre-delivery person Jamie knows Airstreams and takes the time to make sure you understand your new trailer. She is great!

Took delivery of our 2012 FC 25 five years ago, beautifully assembled, no equipment failures and only routine maintenance items in extensive travel throughout the country and over 1,000 nights camping.
Inspect it carefully at the dealership and make sure all equipment works. If something's not right, get it fixed and press on. Take good care of it, do regular inspections and maintenance, and it will take good care of you.
