Airstream customer research must show all we do is sit at the dinette, because they have eliminated the living room in most mid-size models. Probably a showroom sales feature that works for them, not-so-good for us in actual use. Many of us have removed their dinette and added our comfortable seating and foldout dining tables in various configurations, all seem to work well.

I suspect Airstream like being able to increase the number of it people it sleeps.

One can contact the factory for the mattress drawings. The ones below are for the twin beds in our Classic. I would think the pattern would be the same for their twin bed models as only one size of twin bed sheets is on the Airstream bedding catalog page on their web site. The pattern is turned over for the other side.

From what I have seen, this is a pretty tight fit on the 25FB twin bed models. On our Classic, one could easily make the mattress 10" to 11" longer for tall folks. The 27FB twin might be able to be perhaps 6" longer.

I think that's right on the mark. Before replacing the dinette with recliners in ours we decided we needed a "trailer-for-two" for our travels, and that's essentially what it now is although we could make temporary accommodations if needed. Airstream doesn't build a midsize model with this in mind.
