Question Folding Table ?

Just got our FC 25FB and want to leave dinette table in lowered position, using it for a lounge of sorts. But Airstream says they recommend the table being in the up position for travel. I've looked at it in down position and it doesn't interfere with wall and seems stable. Any reason we should not do this? Thx

We've considered the same. Don't know why up is better than down. Table down seems more stable

Welcome To The Airstream Lounge

Our Airstream has stayed in the lounge position all of this year and so far, no problems.
However, it appears the table does have more support in the upright position.

We use two portable tables that we ordered from IKEA.

Cheers

I have had ours both wys when travelling and never noticed a difference. We now leave it in the up position as it is just Claire and I doing the traveling.

I'm bringing our Airstream home (from where we store) tomorrow and headed out for a kayak/ camping trip in Southern Missouri.
I will look for a name/ part # on the tables and reply when I find it.

They are adjustable (up/down) triangular table with a V shaped metal base.
They're portable so we occasionally use them outside too.

OK, we're using IKEA SmartAsen computer/ laptop stands.
Ordered Online.

The height is adjustable so I lower the table tops to rest on top of the sofa cushions when traveling. We have the leather upholstery so I put a towel on top of the sofa cushion for some extra protection. (Or you could use one of the 12 cushions Airstream gives you)

They're not very expensive so if you don't like them, you're not out a lot of money.

Cheers
