Sure. Not a problem. I wish Airstream could get the air conditioner in the same color

We have the fantastic fans underneath these covers and we open them as much as the covers allow and let the air flow.

I have one more question. Did you install the Maxxairs yourself or have them installed?

Also, I think that it would be fairly easy to put a coat or two of silver/gray spray paint on the air conditioner cover. It comes off with just a couple of screws.

I had them installed at the dealership. The labor wasn't much as I recall.

Great idea on painting the a/c cover. Will think about that!

It's Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado (25 miles from Longmont/Lyons). It's the Moraine CG which is one of our favorites. This site is in Loop C which has some sites that overlook the Moraine Valley (sites 227-232) The Upper Big Thompson river runs through the Moraine Valley.

In September, it is a great campsite as the elk are in rut and you can hear them bugling and watch the males gather and fight for their harems in the valley below.

There are lots of beautiful campsites in this park. Don't tell anyone

Here's a better photo of the view behind our AS:

Huge improvement for us on our 20 ... unfortunately, we could only transfer one to the 25 due to interference with a solar panel; so the black cover is just sitting in the garage. The beauty of the Maxx-A covers is that the vents may be left open when you need air flow most... to clear out the humidity - during a rain storm. It is a wonderful product.

Bonginator, I have a couple questions.
Does the Maxxair cover allow the vent to open fully vertical? Can you operate the Fantastic Fan in automatic mode? Did you consider the cover manufactured by Fantastic Fan? Great photos! Thanks.

Q: Does the Maxxair cover allow the vent to open fully vertical?
A: No, not fully vertical but almost. We let it open until it hits the Maxxair lid and leave it there. It is open quite a bit but not all the way.

Q: Can you operate the Fantastic Fan in automatic mode?
A: Yes, that is how we open it up. Quite honestly, we don't run the fans much so I can't say how this would work if you ran them a lot. Maybe someone else can provide insight into that. I think it would work fine.

Qid you consider the cover manufactured by Fantastic Fan?
A: Yes, I did. I can't remember exactly why we selected the Maxxair over it but I think one reason was the option to get these in a gray/silver color and I think the other was that we preferred the looks of the Maxxair II.

Hope this helps!

Fan-tastic Ultrabreeze Vent Covers

We opted for the Ultrabreeze Vent Cover manufactured by Fan-tastic Fan. We like the translucence of the smoke color. The fans are able to function in automatic mode - which of course isn't that important now since they're sheltered from the rain. Purchased and installed at Camping World. Going out this weekend so we'll see how they work!

Nice. If you get a chance, can you post a picture of the side view? Enjoy them. You will love having the constant airflow...

While putting the white Fantastic fan cover over our one Fantastic fan, we also put in the reversing air flow switch.

My husband and I will be picking up our first trailer (2010 Flying Cloud 23FB) next week! I am trying to learn as much as possible from the wisdom from this forum! There's just SO much information to sift through! I have read through all I think I have found regarding the layout of our AS and the debate on seating space (dinette) vs. bed/bath configuration. The corner bed was a deal breaker for me. Just thinking the dinette could be made into a daybed for more versatile use of the space. We don't sit at a table to eat at home, so thinking this would be a good option. Anyone else do this? Also any specific advice for us would be welcomed! Thanks!

Welcome to AirForums!

Our trailer came with the L-Lounge and a rolling, folding dinette table that is stored in the cabinet next to the lounge. Over the years, we found little need to use the dinette, and usually eat at the campground's picnic table; and during inclement weather, we eat while sitting on the lounge and use the nearby cabinet top and fold-down cutting board as tables. The cabinet is now used as an additional storage space.

We keep the L-lounge fully opened in the extended position and, along with the rear bed, we and the two dogs enjoy maximum space and a good night's sleep!

Thanks for the ideas on using the dinette area as a lounge. We're going to give this a try on our upcoming big camp-out.

We have finally gotten New Lucy's air conditioning working correct. It was dripping water inside because of an installation problem.

We also think that we have the refrigerator working again. We installed a new electric heating element.

We are doing our final trip preps this weekend. We have been slightly delayed by the 4.5" of rain that we have gotten here since ten o'clock last night.

We are hoping to be out of here by Wednesday. We are hoping to be gone until October.

Brian

Good luck on selling the house. We need to see pictures of your new baby as soon as you get her.

Thanks so much for your reply. I think we will do something similar. We drive to Michigan on Tuesday to pick "her" up! (No name yet!) I'm sure I'll be posting oodles of questions, then!
