Cutting down the dinette width??
The width of the dinette on a 28 foot FC is wider than the comparable layout of an International model by about 4". I want to trim mine down by the 4" making it the same width as the bathroom wall like the International layout. This results in more floor space in the kitchen.
This means cutting/modifying the benches which are upholstered and also trimming the table. The table is a piece of cake but the bench work is likely a bit more complicated because of the upholstery.
I know some folks have done this and maintained the full height covered storage under the seats versus going to the aluminum frame dinette of the Internationals.
Would appreciate any insights and experience with doing this.
