Climate control thermostat in Flying Cloud 27'

Just got the trailer to me it seems that the thermostat is not working well hot in back end and. Colder in front and the heater runs forever and is very noisy. Anybody have similar problems?

Hi and welcome!

There are 2 heating options in your trailer. The heat pump, "HP" on the thermostat mode, is almost as noisy as the ac. This is a function of the ac unit that uses electricity to heat the air. The furnace, "fur" on the thermostat, is not as loud. You may have to adjust your vents to achieve a uniform temperature while using the heat pump. I don't know if you can adjust the vents for the furnace ( those are the vents that are low in your trailer).

Do you have one air conditioner or two?

My FC 25 has a furnace (fur) that comes on instantly with cool breeze at first (3ish minutes) then warms the whole trailer in about 20 (even less) minutes when the outside temp is 45-50ish and inside might be 50ish. It seems your heating experience is requiring too long, but I have no idea why. Hope my newbie experience is helpful to you.

The temperature sensor for the zone 2 (front) is sensing a temperature that is higher than the ambient room temperature. On the 27 the sensor is located behind the TV on the wall next to the frig and that wall is wormer than ambient room temperature. On my 27' I set my thermostat to turn of the AC about 84 to 86 degrees when zone 1 (bedroom) is set about 10 degrees cooler. So if you set zone 2 to start the heater at say 76 it won't come on because the sensor is reporting a temperature that is already more than 76 degrees. Hope this helps. Yes this confused me until I read a post here that explained about the sensor.

I only have one HP and only zone 1 works on the climate control, anybody know where the sensor is locate in this setup?

While installing an accumulator (for the plumbing) in our 2015 23' FB Flying Cloud I discovered heat ducts that had been smashed partially closed or longer than necessary which reduced the efficiency of moving heated air around the trailer.

Setting the thermostat is a challenge as the delta (temperature swing from on to off) is as much as 6 or 7 degrees and the location of the thermostat isn't ideal. Not much you can do with those two issues without investing more $$.

Try cracking a window or vent remote from the thermostat or remote from the area that you spend the most amount of time. It is important to allow hot air to push the cold air out of the trailer and remember hot air rises. A small battery powered fan might improve the heat distribution.
