Buying new, actual price

Hello,
We are getting quite close to buying a new FC20 and was curious to what people actually paid from the listed price. What percent off from dealer is typical when buying brand new?
I haven't ever bought anything new from a dealer and not quite sure where to start with that pricing negotiation.
Any experiences would grateful.

Thanks
Sam

15% off MSRP seems to be readily available. Often, towards the end of a model year, 18-20 % is achievable. Sometimes, it is worth a drive to work with a dealer that meets your price.

May.... Tis the end of the 16 season. Time to go killer!

Or if I may suggest, do look in the Classifieds for a gently used one - especially if this is your first trailer/first Airstream. Lots of folks me included upsized within a year or two of buying trailer ONE. You get an almost new unit with yet another 20% or so off!

Cha ching! Then if you decide it's perfect you've got traveling money, and if later you want to trade up, you can do so with less financial regrets.

Happy hunting! Paula

The model year is almost over, the 2017s will be hitting dealer lots in 3 months. At 20 percent discount, not a penny more than 80 percent of sticker!

To be fair, the shipping charges for any specific model are the same for all dealers regardless of their physical location. So they can haggle about the prices for the base price plus the options which are usually discounted more to the dealer.

If you have your preferences, get a unit with factory installed street side and rear awnings. The dealer awning installations can be problematic. Also, the 1,000 watt factory inverter is unable to power the usual microwave, so some folks pass on inverter and instal a more robust unit later. The third option its usually a convection microwave.

A local friend of mine just picked up his new 2016 Airstream a couple of weeks ago. He got 20% off MSRP and some extras thrown in to sweeten the pot. He got it from the dealership in the Florida panhandle.

The inverter in not an option so that's mute.

The converter is standard to charge the battery and run the 12Vdc stuff. An optional inverter makes 120Vac out of 12Vdc from the battery. So there is no optional factory inverter on the 20' models?

The 1,000 watt inverter was an option and was factory installed in our 2015 23D International Serenity.

We live in MD too and just bought a 26U from Patrick at Colonial. We got a great deal and really like that dealership. We are new to Airstreams.

Not so sure the 17's are coming in 3 months; I was told by NW AS there was a 16 1/2 coming first and 17's would be in September; any one else have an update on this?

Inverter was standard in our 2015 FC 20FB. Best floorplan in the 25ft and under group IMHO.

With the 1000watt inverter, if you replace with a higher wattage will the wiring still work do have to replace wiring as well? I know the power control for the inverter is over the sink,
