Blue Light Shore Power Lid

2013 Flying Cloud 23d

Had a problem with no power to the outlets coming from the inverter. Found a lose wire (white) coming out of the inverter. Fixed that and we now have powered (inverter plugs).

Wrapping things up and noticed the cool blue light on the shore power lid was not glowing. Figured I blew the breaker in the garage but nope. All of the power is working fine in the trailer. Checked the microwave just to be sure.

Any thoughts about the not glowing blue lid?

Chuck

i suspect that the led light in the cover may be out. But recommend that you also make sure the polarity is correct on the shore power supply and outlets inside your trailer.

This link provides detailed instructions.

RV Services Online - Troubleshooting - Power Converters

I've found problems with improperly wired shore power supply cords and bad wiring inside trailers. Hope this helps!

Exclamation

I just checked the Furion web site and the lack of a blue light can also indicate a power outage or fault. Since you have power inside your trailer mot likely you have a polarity issue.

The tester in the previous reply is the easy way to determine if the polarity is correct.

F30INS-PS - Power inlets - RV Camp Power - Electrical

The link above is to the Furion site.

I've had issues with the light on our 2011 as well. Sometimes when I'm plugged in at home, which I know is wired correctly the blue light doesn't come on. So in my case it seems to be a faulty or finicky light............

Thanks everyone. I'll check the polarity and go from there.

we had ours replaced on our new 2014 FC 30, and dealer mentioned there were other units that had same problem. Told us just a bad batch-now works fine, and as expected replaced under warranty.
