Adding Window Awnings to 27fb?

Hello-

We would like to add the Window Awning Package to our Shiny Pete, a 2014 27fb coach, with the standard Gray Sunbrella ZipDee on the curbside. Has anyone done this post manufacture, and how did you go about it?

Airstream puts the Curb side and Rear Window Awnings on new builds for like $1350. I was quoted by a dealer with a great service reputation North of us (they have done warranty work for us in the past) like $1460 for the awnings PLUS $300 to ship the long one, and then 4 hours to install........... Sorry, as much as we would like to add these, we're not gonna spend $2300 to do it.

So......if you've done it, I'm asking you how, where, what did it cost, etc.; if you're willing to share.

Any chance you could travel to the Zip Dee factory and have it done there?
