A Bittersweet But Very Happy Day Indeed

So.....yesterday I traded in my 1966 Airstream Safari for a brand new Flying Cloud 20. They parked them side by side and I am including a picture of the two. My 1966, Aunt Bee is on the left and the new Flying Cloud 20 is on the right. I understand the 1966 has a home already and that makes me very happy! Spent the night in the new Airstream last night.....what a sweet Airstream it is!!

Very cool story. Bet that new 20 feels like home already. How long did you own the '66, and do you have any special memories to share?

Safe travels. Pat

Great choice!

We moved down from a 25' AS owned years ago, and are very happy with our FC20. You may know already about the thread for our model?

CentennialMan, congratulations on your new prize! I have a 2015 Bambi 16' Sport. I also live in Centennial...east. Maybe we're neighbors?

Do you boondock? Ray is doing a Greenhorn Boondocking school in Mid June, here in Colorado. Join in. I am a greenhorn...have never ventured off the paved path. It should be challenging and fun!

Take a look at Ray's boondock threads and my SOLO TRAVELERs CLUB THREAD, IF INTERESTED.

You will not regret your choice of the 20ft.FC...given its galley and bathroom and general quality. Make sure you keep the tires fresh (can you say Sendel and Michelins?), and enjoy. Safe travels. jon

Thanks Everyone!

Thanks so much for all the kind thoughts everyone! The new FC 20 is at her new home and all tucked in. We drove 12 hours yesterday and made it home before dark. There was a lot of mag chloride on the front of the Airstream from the highway and I got is hosed off when we got home.

I am going to spend the weekend reading manuals and checking things out.

Wow, that is some change. Your 66 looks in such good shape. We are very excited, on 3/18 we move into our new FC 26 U. Always a big deal to figure out a new trailer and get used to it. Hope our new trailers are all we are hoping for.

Good to hear. Don't forget to change your signature and ID info. at the left to make the switch "official."

Happy Trails . . .
