Quick question for all you FC 25 FB owners. My wife would like me to install a screw-onto-the-wall paper towel roll holder somewhere in the kitchen/dinette area - out in the open or inside a cabinet, but handy to spills, and not on the aluminum wall. I'd rather not have on of those portable vertical paper towel roll holders that sits on the counter - another thing to store before towing. For those that have affixed a paper towel roll holder to their FC 25 FB .... where did you affix it?

that material is sawdust so i would not be putting screws into it expecting it to hold any weight. there are all sorts of adhesive products that will serve this purpose even if you have to use the adhesive part with a paper towel holder you already have.
you can also get, if you look for it, a 3M product, 'high bond' tape. i use it extensively on my all aluminum boat and it takes the pounding and exposure to moisture and such and does not let go.

I was not looking for how to attach as much as where to attach. Where have other FC 25 FB owners found a handy place to attach one.

Have a paper towel holder that hinges on the top of a cabinet door. No holes. It does unwind on a bumpy road sometimes.

We keep a roll of paper towels in the cabinet over the pantry. Works for us. Not elegant, but it is ok.
When we were looking, I opened one of the International sliders and it bit my finger. That was enough. I didn't see what the International offered that was worth the $4,000 more at the time. It is probably more now. Ours is a Special Edition and had a bit more than the standard Safari and that had all the upgrades we wanted.
Gorgeguy, you bet they leak. They especially leak when new and you haven't yet fixed all the bad caulking and design issues, or you had it done on warranty. In recent years they have added rubber seals in some places (cars have had that for generations), but use the cheapest rubber seals they can find. The good news, once it all gets fixed, you can count on fewer leaks in the future.

Over the years, on two 25FB's, we have tried several locations for the paper towel roll. We have mounted the spring load type holder under the counter near the range top and by the door. We didn't like these as it seemed in the way and blocked the kitchen window view. We also tried it on the inside of the under sink cabinet door on the '05 with the double sink. We found it to be too "klunky" there.
We finally went to one of the vertical paper towel holders. We keep it in the corner of the kitchen counter right next to the trailer door. We have been using this system for about eight years now, and find that it works best for us.

One reason we got rid of our "05 Bambi International was that my wife, at 5'2", had to stand on a stool to reach past the sliding cabinet doors to get to items in the back.

My wife wont have too many problems with the cabinets, she is 6ft 0 which is why we are looking at the 2015 and 16 models so the AC unit doesn't hang down. She has also since discovered the walk through videos on the Colonial Airstream website and seems sold on the International decor. We are planning our trip down to NJ in three weeks (in-laws are visiting).

We just installed our paper towel holder under the overhead bin, just to the right of the sink. Because the bin bottom was not solid wood, I used a flat head screw with washer through the bin floor and a acorn nut on the machine screw at the paper towel holder.

Greetings from Nevada. We have now been on the road with New Lucy for 56 consecutive days. All her systems are working well, and we have had no maintenance or repair issues. We hope that this behavior continues. We hope to be traveling for another month or so.

Oh, do be careful. You say nice things about the hardware, and the echo of the words induces a random failure immediately after....

New Lucy has recently completed her 81 day 8,000 mile trip. She performed very well with no significant problems. Lucy now has a total of 17,000 miles and 180 nights under her belt.
Lucy went over some pretty rough roads. Two interior rivets popped in the kitchen area. The directional air conditioning vents kept falling from the ceiling. The number 1 automotive 12 volt fuse (controls shower and bedroom lights) blew three different times.
I will replace the rivets myself. We have added pieces of two sided tape to the tabs on the a/c vents. This seems to be working. The fuse issue may be related to a wire inside a wall that shorts out due to hitting a hard bump in the road.
All in all, New Lucy is doing very well.

Oven?

Do you use the oven or just the range top and microwave? If you use the oven, doesn't it produce too much heat for the inside of the trailer?

Adjustable Bracket in the Bedroom.

Doesn't the bedroom had a tele on an adjustable bracket? If so, I intend to use it in the LR and store the bedroom TV. I don't need one in there.

That would probably work. The only issue that you will have to deal with will be the holes in the bedroom wall that will be left when you remove the television mount. You could possibly cover this area with a piece of artwork or a shallow shelf set.

Brian,
You can buy another articulating arm for the lounge TV.
I did not personally install it but the dealership did it for me .
I like the ability to move both TVs

We had already gotten New Lucy an articulating arm television mount for the living room a number of months ago. It was one that we bought at Wal-Mart and installed ourselves My last post was answering a question regarding moving the bedroom mount to the living room.
