New Lucy has the Black Ultra-leather upholstery. We have not found sliding off of the seats to be a problem.

Old Lucy (2005 Safari 25FB) had the cloth upholstery. We found that it was difficult to get out of the dinette seats as our jeans wanted to stick to the seat. We recovered her seat cushions with black naugahyde (no Naugas were harmed in this transformation). This worked well for us for a number of years.

Thanks for the replies. We haven't been real thrilled with the dinette arrangement and are looking at alternatives. Maybe the cushion material is so new it needs broken in. We normally are wearing cotton shorts and T shirts.

I hope that over time the slipperiness goes away. Ours are still very slippery especially when lounging

I'm not real thrilled with it either. It's actually really uncomfortable for more than about 30 mins. I work from mine quite often and would love to find a modification like what they have in the Classic.

For whatever it's worth though, I have found that that small square cushion (on the other side of the wall from the fridge) combined with another small cushion makes a good backrest against the aft wall/window. I'll try to take a pic.

I open the drawer under the seat and put that cushion on top of the open drawer. Make a good footrest on that side of the dinette.

We tried a reclining chair in Old Lucy for her last five years. It was on the curb side of the dinette. We are using New Lucy in her OEM dinette seating configuration. We are quite satisfied with the seating at this point, and are not planning any changes.

I just need more of a recline I think. Probably something that thousands could be thrown at with no real result!

The major modification for us on the plywood based dinette seats was finding a substantial enough filler or stuffing for the factory cushions. I realize there is more of me than the doc wants, but I get sore points on the hip bones as the factory cushion bottoms out.

The analogy was the term "monkey B***" on motorcycle seats. We found a chap that built custom seats with different grades of foam in different spots to spread the body weight evenly over the seat. I was able to do 1000 mile days with no sore backside after the modification.

The seats in ours were cloth covered. They got dirty easily and didn't clean well. They fit badly and the cloth would slide around on the foam innards. We bought a roll of high quality vinyl at a close out sale and found a seamstress who recovered them for $5 each. Total cost about $100. We have lots of vinyl left over. We put sheepskins on the dinette seats and they slide around instead of us and add to comfort.

Our awning also hit the door until we realized we hadn't pulled out the awning supports far enough. Problem solved.

We found some Winnebago registers online that rotate to direct the air wherever we wanted it and can close so we closed off the heat in the bedroom. They are brown instead of white and look better. The only problem is they sometimes close themselves and when we forget to check them, it can get pretty cold when we run the furnace. I assume the heated tanks get warmer when the registers close themselves in the cabin.

In Old Lucy, we had the dinette seat cushions reconfigured with much denser foam rubber. We found that the denser foam made a much more comfortable seat. Now that we are getting some wear on New Lucy's seats, we are considering doing the same upgrade to New Lucy.

New Lucy is now sporting bug screens on her water heater and furnace access doors. We had already seen some evidence of Mud Dauber infestation in the exhaust area of Lucy's furnace. Old Lucy had these screens and we never had any bug problems in those areas. We also have these screens on the truck camper.

Nice work Brian! What it custom or out of a box product?
I seem to find ants in my outside refer compartment.
Anyone care to share a solution?
