Moosetags, Kevin's "guess" was actually my question. We have WiFi we use for bills etc running of a Samsung Tablet, but it is on the same data plan as both our phones, so it's limited. I am guessing if one runs the Smart TV off the Verizon WiFi we have our monthly data would be used up pretty quickly? Which is why we carry a portable Direct Sat antenna and Direct Box

We found that the WiFi at many parks is slow and you get knock off, and when hook-up to the cable has limited channels. Most times we are only there a short time and doesn't matter, we did get a MiFi from Verizon we use for the internet which work 100% of the time.

We have found about the same situation in campgrounds. Some are starting to get the message that good wifi is an important amenity and that the Internet is here to stay.

We use our own cell phone wifi Hotspot almost exclusively when on the road.

Thanks for the compliment. I can post the link later but I got them from Amazon. If you do a search there are tons of options. I looked for a model that had the mounting points molded in for wire ties

The latest model of Apple TV will not fit behind the TV in the living area of our AS. You can still get the AppleTV 3 and it works just fine for using Airplay as described in video

I had plans to install a single Apple TV box in my rear cabinet with all the other AV stuff and simply unplug the HDMI splitter from the BD player and reinstall it to the Apple TV. (Or perhaps do another split...?) That way I should be able to AirPlay to both TV's from back there with a single Apple TV box. Granted, we couldn't have two different movies playing but we never would anyway. Any reason why that wouldn't work?

Truth be told, I may just skip the AppleTV and go with a Mac Mini that I currently use as a server. Not sure it does AirPlay because it's a couple years old but with a 500GB HD I could skip the use of the iPad altogether and have a fully functional Mac computer that displays over the TV.

Awesome video though. Great use of the zip ties for cleanliness.

Not sure if we are going off track here but since I have this stuff installed in my 2015 FC we may be ok (sorry Brian if we are off topic) - Single AppleTV should work but the MacMini does not do AirPlay natively. You would have to purchase a program such as Reflector to use it for AirPlay. With the MacMini you could install Plex or Kodi and have a full media server (that is what I use in the house). If you run Plex along with some sort of Wifi router you can stream from the MacMini directly to your ipad to run almost any type of media wirelessly.

I had a hell of a time getting in/out, especially out, of my bed in the 25' FC.
THAT was the main reason, (Along with others,), why I traded in my 2015 25'FC for a 2016 30' FC. I like the North-South bed better; easier to get in/out of. And the 30'er has more clothes storage options.

Old Lucy (2005 Safari 25FB) had the queen bed configuration. We spent 1,300 nights in Old Lucy. We always found her bed very comfortable. When we got New Lucy, we opted for the twin bed configuration mainly to gain the extra outside storage compartments. As far as the bed goes, we preferred the queen for comfort and sleeping.

I've been thinking about removing the little nightstand thing between my bed and the way, and changing the plywood out to a wider version that will accommodate a king bed. There's plenty of room for it and the nightstand top/side I would reinstall above the bed. Without legs of course. I'm just waiting until the thing is a little older before I go doing surgery to it.

That could work, but remember to allow for the curve in the front right corner of the bedroom. On additional issue might be getting a king size mattress into the the Airstream and the bedroom.

Oooooh. Hadn't thought about getting it through the door... I've got to believe with the proper amount of force... but I'm the type of engineer that would have had everything (and mean everything) else done and measured perfectly but forgot to do that one critical step.

New Lucy's door opening is 65" by 26". That would be a hard squeeze for a king mattress.

Be sure to buy a foam king and it will easily fit through the door if you don't open the package first! Lay it on the bed, open the wrapping, and watch it grow to full size Let the next owner worry about how to get it out.
