I considered mounting the Voyager camera above Lucy's rear window. I nixed the area below the Airstream lettering as we plan to add a rear awning in the spring. The area above the lettering is also a problem. It would interfere with application of our WBCCI big red numbers. That is why I am considering trying it inside, mounted to the bottom of the overhead cabinet over the dinette table. I am going to power the camera from a 12 volt source inside the cabinet. I will mount the camera without the attached antenna. I will wire the camera to a high gain antenna concealed in the cabinet. I have run a test with the camera in this position. I can see the window screen, but objects behind the trailer are still very discernible.

Not dumb at all. It's dynamic balancing do the entire hub assembly. If you google "how centramatics works" you'll find a video on their site - it's more for 18-wheelers but the concept is the same.

They balance your wheels and tires while they are rolling.

I have completed the installation of the Voyage wireless camera in Lucy. I have mounted it to the under side of the overhead cabinet above the dinette table.

I will test it on the next run to Jacksonville in a couple of weeks.

We now have our workbench built and installed over Lucy's stove burners. This is one of the final alterations that we are doing to make Lucy our own. Now we will have a work surface to pack Moose Tags.

Here is a picture of the work bench.

I like it! And I like the flamingo in the window. What a great place to pack moosetags.

The workbench top lifts right off if we would want to use the burners. We have rarely used the stove tops in our Airstreams. We are not much in the cooking department. We usually make meals that can be prepared in the microwave.

Can you please show a close up of the work surface? I have been considering how I would want to create a dual surface over the stovetop and maybe partial sink with a wooden butcher block that would be able to also go outside for food prep, and fit on the dinette table for rainy days. Need to figure out where it will live when actually using the burners.

Lucy's workbench stove top cover is made from a 22" by 24" piece of 3/4" of marine grade plywood. It is set up on three pieces of 1 by 3 stood on side. The work surface is covered with a piece of Alvin self-healing cutting mat. This material is extremely.

I will take some additional pictures and post them in the morning.

Brian where is the antenna on your Voyager install? Outside or inside? Any issue with reception if it is inside?

The antenna ia in one of the upper cabinets. I'll take a picture of it and post it tomorrow.

Brian - have you tried using the camera while driving in the dark? Is there a reflection issue because it is installed inside?
Thanks

Doug
