2015 FC 30 Mirror?

Hello. I am purchasing a new FC 30 and after looking at all of the online sales pictures, it appears that this unit only has the articulated arm mirror in the bath. Call me vain, but I would like to be able to see myself in something larger. Any suggestions?
Also what is meant by the term "remote generator ready." Can you also run a 110 volt chord to the unit from your house to power lights etc. and if so, where does it plug in? Finally, can you run one ac on 110 v using adapter pigtails and 50 amp power chord?
Thanks for any response-Im kinda new at this.

When we bought our 2012 FC 25 rear bed model (which has the exact bath as the FC 30) I thought the first thing we would do was relocate that small articulating mirror and fasten a larger mirror in its place. But after three years and 20 months on the road we still use the small articulating mirror. It's kind of on my list, but we don't think of it often.

For us on a 25, it means that there is another 110AC socket inlet at the front of the trailer in addition to the rear / side. Adapters abound, but do not exceed the rating of the power source or cord set. DW now understands just why she can not run the A/C when the AS is hooked up to a 20 amp house circuit * with adapters* ... fortunately, there was no additional damage other than the cords.

Thank you for the response. I hope the dual ac setup with 50 amp doesn't end up being a problem when 50 amp service isn't available.

Regarding the mirror, we have mounted a full length mirror on the inside of the bathroom door on our 30' FC... Bought from Target!

Thanks, did you use the standard type supports (1 @ each corner) or did you fasten it with some sort of cement. Im just thinking about road vibration.
Also, what is your advise on the ST tire issue?

We put a full length mirror on the inside of one of the closet doors. Probably the same as Hibby as we got it at Target. We just used the standard clips.
If no 50 amp available you won't be able to use both AC units. When ours is home we just plug it into whatever outlet we are parked near. Keeps the fridge running and we go out and sit in it and watch TV or listen to the radio when cleaning.

Speaking of 30' and 25' RB bathroom door, does it bother anyone else that it opens toward the living space, revealing all activity in there and causing a go-around to use it at night from the bedroom?

The latch height is centered top to bottom. So I unscrewed the hinge from the partition wall, turned it upside down, drilled pilot holes on the opposite side and mounted it there and mounted the catch on the opposite side as well.

I think it's much better this way, and also serves as a screen when using the shower.

I would ask the dealer if you can choose to use one AC unit or two? We only have one AC unit on ours, but we live in Michigan and it was not a concern. We also have the full awning package, which significantly reduces heat.

If you couldn't use AC without 50A service, then we'd be out of luck too since we often run our camper using two Honda 2000 generators...

As for the full-length mirror, go to a glass shop and have them make you a 12" x 48" 3/16 mirror with an anti-shatter backing, then mount it with eight clips screwed into one of your panels. We mounted ours to the bathroom wall, inside the bedroom. A mirror from Target or wherever will shatter, I know this, when it's slightly flexed. My glass shop makes mirrors for boats and RVs and has always had good results.

Dkottum- nope door doesn't bother me but I thought the shower door should open towards the bedroom. IIRCC, dealer told me it used to but it was changed because the two doors would interfere and jamb. Of course it they were both reversed.........

2015 Bunk House Mirror

My wife thought the same thing.......mirror too small......we got an 18"X68" and mounted it on the wall between the shower & the door. Glued it withirror adhesive, and 4 clips - 2 top - 2 bottom. It fells very secure.

With 30amps everything will work but you can only use 1 AC at a time. You need 50amps to run 2 AC's at the same time.

I can run two A/Cs in my 2015 30' FC by plugging into a 30AMP circuit and using a 110V cheater cord attached to the 30AMP cord, got it at Amazon. It gives about 40AMPS. Guy in a campground loaned me his as he had 50AMP hook and I only had 30 right next to him. It worked but we did not run it long, but did run the one A/C - Microwave and water heater which prior to this cheater cord would drip the circuit breaker. Still not sure I like the idea of running both A/C or Heat Pumps without a 50AMP hook up

Explain how you can get 40 amps out of a 30 amp receptical. Wouldn't the circuit breaker trip when you go over 30 amps?

We added an 11x14 mirror over the commode. Easy installation using two sided mounting tape. It was less then $15 dollars and has worked great for four years.
I alway joke that that's how you can tell there was not a woman involved with designing that bathroom!
