2015 23' Flying Cloud RB
I just purchased a 2015 FC RB to replace a 2012 CL. The corner lounge configuration is perfect for my use and the dinette configuration is awkward.
AS no longer makes the cl in a 23' , Are there conversion plans and people out
there?

I'm not familiar with that exact terminology, but I'm guessing you had a 23' with an L-lounge in the front? (We have a similar trailer.)
I've seen a larger trailer converted to an L-lounge by CanAmRV up in Canada, using Airstream factory parts and some custom built stuff. Looked nice, but was expensive.
My guess is that having this done by the Airstream factory might be the most effective.
Curious - why did you get the newer trailer? I didn't think the updates from 2012 to 2015 were that significant - or did the earlier trailer suffer an accident?

Yes , unfortunately it was in an accident.
And yes it is an L lounge. The configuration is so practical. The dinette may be traditional c1950,but I find it awkward and there is less storage space.
I was not aware that Airstream would reconfigure.
Thanks for your input.

You have our sympathy -- if something were to happen to our 23' L-lounge we would want to replace it too. Perfect size for us, more comfortable lounging, more storage, and a table when you need it.
But, conversion of a dinette model to an L-lounge may not be so easy because the door placement and windows are different from the couch/lounge body. I am certain something could be designed that would work, but maybe not using the standard parts.
With enough pillows you can inexpensively make the dinette feel more like a couch (with the table down) but that doesn't supply the extra storage or give you the fold-away table.

Actually the door placement and window are the same.AS makes changes that are ,in my opinion dumb. They have put the small flat tv screen high up on the wall in front of the refrigerator /microwave.

Well, they both have front doors (in contrast to the rear bed model) but the door on the dinette model is located farther forward and there is no window between the pano and the door. The dinette model also has double windows on the streetside vs. single on the L-lounge, but I doubt that would make a difference in the conversion. The rear ends of the bodies are the same.
I am not certain the door placement difference is a problem, I just point it out as something to consider.

I'm also a big fan of having that window ahead of the entry door. Gives the front of the trailer a more open feel.
It doesn't mean you can't put in an L-lounge though. The trailer that I mentioned above also didn't have a window ahead of the entry door, so the space ahead of the door is tighter. The lounge can still fit, but if you pull out the bed, it will block more of the doorway. It also might be tight next to the kitchen sink bump-out.
If you were to have this done, you can ask for a quote from the Airstream factory service department. It's probably several thousand dollars.
