2015 23 Bunk Removal Question

we were thinking of ordering an Airstream with the factory bunk option.
does anyone know if it can be easily unbolted and removed when not needed?
none of the dealers anywhere near me have one in stock so i can see for myself. my wife thinks the lower bed would be to claustrophobic for her, but she doesn't camp with the rest of the family very often. thanks for the info.
