OK first these are ammonia refrigerators - they don't cool as fast as a home model. Second I notice that you have a new 2011 model, which means you bought it after it sat on the dealer lot for quite a while.... weak battery? That might slow down the switchover from LPG to electric or vice versa.
These new refrigerators are "2 way" they work on LPG and 110 - not
12 volt. I've made the mistake of plugging into a 30amp socket at a campground, but not checking the circuit breaker... I go into the Airstream and notice that the air conditioner won't cut on and that the reefer is still on gas.... D'oh!
Lastly check the ventilation around the back and on the top of the unit - you might have leaves in the top vent, and lack of circulation can slow the cooling process a lot.
OH... and these refrigerators don't automatically defrost. If you've got an ice buildup in the freezer and the plate at the top back of the refrigerator, turn the fridge off, pull the food out and grab a blow dryer to melt the big chunks loose, then toss them into the sink. Wipe down the interior, check the door seal, and put your food back in and try again.
Best of luck, Paula
