Where are you camping in Tetons ? Looking thru reviews on line, a lot of places don't sound that good. Don't need FHU but a quality ,clean place is nice.

Hi , Colter bay forest CG. Not much to it but restrooms were clean and place was quite at night. Lots of rain right now though.

Quick fix to the cable notch problem on my 20'. I put a 3/4 plastic pipe around the umbilical but then it did not fit under the tank cover. I bought 4 aplifier rubber feet from Amazon, notched them with a Japanese cabinet saw, stair steped the front ones for the yoke and stuck them down with 20# double sided tape. Now the cover rides 1" higher and is cushioned.

Had problems with photobucket so I reloaded. This site won't let you go back in to edit after a few minutes which is a major PITA so I must double post.

Had a intermittent water leak under bathroom sink.
Cause: Some Full Rolls of TP hit the P-Trap.Causing a leak.
Repair: Relocated TP holder lower on door so TP would not hit trap.

Today we said good bye to Bryce Canyon NP. The best thunderstorms we've seen in a long time. Next stop Las Vegas and home Monday. 27 days this year on this trip.

Problem with a hopeful solution: Our '09 20 footer has about 65k miles including to AK and back plus a couple crossings of the Rockies etc. On our return from a recent trip, my wife opened the fridge to empty it and the top hinge completely broke off. For about $250, I ordered and installed a new door from Dometic. When ordering the door, the lady on the other end of the phone indicated that I was far from the first to experience the problem. Hmmmmm -- don't know about others, but we have found the refer door racks a perfect size for "beverage" cans. Also noted during door replacement, that there's a sizable gap between the door and frame when closed. Vibration during travel coupled with weight in the door shelves = torque on the top refer hinge. Hopeful solution: lighten the weight in the door shelves plus make a simple wedge from 1/4" plywood to fill the gap between door and frame when traveling. Maybe you'll not have to replace your door. Safe travels. Ty

I think there is a design/mfg issue with these units. Our 2011 has lost the fridge door skin multiple times. Not the same as losing the door but it caused us to have the door replaced as the frame holding the skin was broken. In addition, I've also experienced the bottom door shelf vibrating out of its bracket resulting in jamming the door and preventing it from opening. Having been in the plastic business, I know there is no way Dometic can design a door/frame/shelf system that stands up to ALL conditions. However, given the number of anecdotal reports of problems occurring during "normal" RV use, they should probably engage their QA/CI people to identify the extent of the problem, it's root cause and then work on these issues.

Very cool! I've always found volunteers to be the best at making a meaningful connection with me as a visitor. The passion comes through. Thanks for doing that.
