And so then at a campground, hooked up, the STORE button should be used?
I have no problem changing the charger, the cost is pretty minimal, just like I'm considering swapping the 15's for 16's

I have the same trailer as Plasma, but with 2 a/c units and 50amp service. Would the PD4655 be the correct replacement for me as well?

Nope. You need the PD 9260 deck mount.

We have a 2015 AS International Signature addition, I am not sure which converter I have. I had a 2104 AS FC and replaced the converter but I am not sure if AS changed to converter in 2015.
Do I need to upgrade my 2015?
Thanks for the help. lewster I always enjoy your comments and how you share your knowledge with the forum.

I was doing a bit more research on the recommendation of the PD9260 deck mount that Lewster mentioned. It sounds like the PowerMax PM4B-60 BoldAdventure mentioned would be a comparable choice. Does anyone have a recommendation of one over the other? Ease of install, noise, performance?
I liked the original idea of the 4600 Series being a direct replacement, it's too bad that's not an option for my 50amp service. I'd like to keep the install as straightforward as possible.

The biggest difference between the PD 9260 and the Powermax is country of origin. The Boondocker (which is really a pretty misleading name, as you usually don't have access to 120VAC shore power required to operate a converter when you are truly 'boondocking' ) is made in China and Progressive Dynamics builds their units in Michigan.
All things being equal, I prefer the PD-9260 as it is made in the USA!

I checked which converter I have this morning, it's the Parallax Model 555. I'm perplexed now as to why I can't upgrade to the PD4655. Both are 55amp.
Again, I like the idea of doing a replacement upgrade vs. a deck mount with its additional customizations (fuse panel holder and mounting)

I just heard back from Progressive, Lewster you were right that the PD4655 won't work for me. It sounds like a deck mount is my only option.

Are you sure the new (2015 & 2016) trailers have 3 stage chargers? My 2008 only had the single stage MagnaTec (sp?). When I replaced it my batteries started lasting much longer.....haven't had any problems since.
