I have a 2014 27FB Serenity. I am interested in replacing the fridge with a Norcold 10 cf. Has anyone replaced thier fridg with a larger one. Will it fit?

Unlikely. Probably taller than the 8 cu ft. The Norcold website should have the exterior dimensions of the unit you are looking at.

I just replaced the cooling unit on a Dometic 3682, in order to do it I had to pull the fridge completely out of its hole.
I noticed that the width of the opening in the cabinet isn't adjustable, but there are several inches of extra height available if you want to cut the cabinet face opening an inch or 2 taller. That said you will have to be conscious on how deeply set your new fridge will be so the extra height of the back edge doesn't run into the curve of the ceiling back there.

Vitrifrigo DP2600 Stainless Steel. Literally plug and play. AC/DC auto switch. Even the mounting holes are the same as Dometic. 2014 AS23D. I do miss the propane though.

We have a 2015 30RB and are seriously looking at the new Dometic 12v 10cf replacement. But we have 500 AH of lithium batteries to support it.

so, the Dometic absorption fridge in my 2013 FC 25 is dead and I'm pretty sure it's because I killed the cooling unit by running it severely off level. I'd like to replace it with a 12V compressor unit and do away with this ammonia nonsense. it's a rm3762lbx. I can't even get dimensions for it from any of the manuals; hopefully one of you can, but it's a 7 cu ft unit. I'd like to know what kind of 120VAC/12VDC compressor-based units I can replace it with. I am not AT ALL picky on brands. hoping someone has some recommendations. someone linked to these guys in a different thread: https://jc-refrigeration.com/ but I can't tell what I would use to replace the cooling unit in my fridge.

ETA: It sounds like I'm asking for a drop-in replacement cooling unit for the same fridge. that would be nice and all, but it is not at all necessary; I'm perfectly happy replacing the entire fridge.

If you want someone to replace the cooling unit for you, then the folks at JC Refrigeration are who you need to talk to. The Amish-built cooling units work better than the original and you'll have the choice of sticking with the LP cooling unit or going to a compressor unit.

You'll only need to provide them with the fridge model number to get you going. You can also buy the cooling unit from them and install it yourself. Not that hard if you're moderately handy. About a 1-day job for most people working slowly.

I got my cooling unit from them recently and they were great to work with. Also selling the Amish-built cooling units which work better than original. They come complete with everything you'll need for the swap.

If you move to a compressor fridge you'll have to do the math on your battery capacity to make sure that you have enough capacity to make it through any boon docking you plan to do. A compressor fridge will require more battery than an LP unit.

Likely you could.

They have compressor units to retrofit most LP fridges. Call JC Refrigeration and give them the model.
