Punch list for new Serenity

Hello,
Our trailer is coming off the line on April 20th. Does anyone have a spreadsheet of the mechanical items I should be closely examining and testing prior to leaving the dealer?

Thanks,

Scott

Thank you for sharing your list. I think this is also a great list to go over annually when pulling out of storage before first camping trip of the year.

Very thorough! Thanks! I'm sure many folks in addition to OP will benefit! I will apply to my rig this weekend on our dewinterizing/get ready for camping season outing at a local campground!

After we bought our trailer, and after the dealer walk through we camped for a few days at a nearby RV park to spend the time going over punch list items. One small item needed attention so we took the trailer back right then for a quick fix. More relaxing that way. Also needed them to show me again how to open the main awning. Its a little tricky.

You should also get two check (punch) lists when you pick the trailer up. One is the final quality check done at the factory and as the various parts are assembled. The other is the run through done by your dealer and their check list is provided by AS. We got both and then the dealer techs went through everything with us item by item. Good mechanics make all the difference to me.

When I picked up our 2014 23' International Serenity I had little time for a complete walk through. As a result we have been discovering how things work as we camp. So far everything works and everything seems in operable condition. We love the trailer. All this said I do recommend a complete walk through wherein you get to see/test all systems on dealer site. System operability is most important for your camping comfort and experience. Best wishes.

Just a quick update. We picked up our trailer in Springfield, MO last Monday. We are in love with it. The fit and finish quality is top shelf and the dealer was wonderful. Thank you all for the help and suggestions.

Scott. congrats on your new Serenity! They are sure beautiful rigs. Did they install the new directional outlets on the roof vents?

Steamy1... thanks for sharing the checklist. We'll make use of it when we get our new Serenity 30 (eta sometime in June?)

Yes. I have the directional roof vents. The other surprise was the microwave. We stayed with the standard stove set up, thinking we would purchase a small MW, walked in and there it was flush mounted into the cabinetry. Nice.

Thanks for the delivery punch list. We have been looking at some 2014 and 2015 units. Very useful!

Punch list....great idea. I live ten minutes from my dealer so I did not use a punch list. And my past experience suggests things are often not discoverable until the unit is used for awhile.

But everything that can be fixed right away, for sure, saves many headaches later on.

I'd like to see that list too. Meanwhile, here's some stuff we plan to check if / when we buy another new Airstream: http://www.casarocinante.com/Blog/Sp...-a-new-trailer

Hope it helps.

Just a quick note: We were able to easily open Steamy1's check list PDF on our Mac, though we could not do so from our iPad or iPhone. It's quite thorough - much more detailed and complete than the musings we posted at the link above.
