Our "shake down" cruise
Just got back from our initial trip with our 2015 Serenity, we got in May. We went to Bar Harbor, Me. Everything worked as expected. Had one small issue. The mirrored lift door on the medicine cabinet was open when we got to our destination and upon initial inspection we found the closing mechanism broken off the lift panel. I moved both pieces to a new location because the old holes were stripped. It held for the ride home. The camper door is hard to close but, I suspect that is because the seals are new. You really have to pull or push it shut to get it to latch.
620 miles up in 10 hours and 637 miles back in 11 hours. Not to shabby. Tows like a dream.
If you like the cooler weather, it's the place to go. We were there for 1 1/2 weeks and it got to 80 just twice.

Congratulations. You can repair the striped holes with a wooden dowel. I use a wooden skewer stick and put a little white glue in the hole. After it dries then I can drill the pilot hole for the screws. Or you can wait for the next warranty visit to have the dealer take care of it.
The door may need to be adjusted. Does it look like the gaps are even all the way around?

New Serenity
Welcome to the world of Serenity... mine has a bit over 10,000 miles on it, so I understand the door brackets...I suspect someone with too much torque dialed in was the person who tightened the latches where the screws were stripped.....some of mine as well.
The front door, I think most of these require a fairly vigorous closing effort. If it is not binding when being opened, it is probably OK. But, I use something such as Boeing 303 or silicone on the seals as I think this protects them from aging.
I am curious as to what speed you are towing...to average 62 mph? I tow at about 60 - 65 mph, stop a lot, but average only 50 mph....

Thanks for the replies.
The door is evenly gapped all around. There is no binding. It opens and swings smoothly.
I try to maintain the speed limit. In Maine it was 70MPH on the Maine Turnpike. So, I did 70. My truck tows like a dream. I got 11.5 mpg going up and coming back.
I tow ours with a 2014 GMC 1500 with a 5.3 L engine with the Max Trailering package.

Are the stabilizers down? If they are supporting too much unequal weight, they can twist the frame=door slam.

70 mph is to fast ...especially if your a beginner at towing.

Many trailer tires say something about speeds not to exceed 65mph, my 1999 TV prefers 60, and I'm retired so NEVER in a hurry ... so I drive and especially tow at 60-65 even in TX. Honk and wave when you pass. I'll honk back when you're stopped at the gas station as I continue on (fuel mileage improves at slower speeds or at least my TV thinks so).

Our 2015 F250 diesel is getting 15.5 mpg while towing. Of course the speed limit in California for towing is 55mph. I run around 59 or 60 mph. And so my fuel economy is better when towing than solo!
