Max Air

Has anyone used the Max air vent covers over the existing vents? I have used them on my old camper and they worked great, but I have never notice them on any Airstreams.

I have a pair of MaxxAir II covers on mine. Works like any other trailer or motorhome.

Vent fan covers

If your 2015 Airstream has the "Fantastic Fan" vents, The same company makes covers fan your fans. They are designed so that the lid can open fully and not be restricted. I installed them on both of my fans on my 2017 23D International Serenity. Cost about $45.00 each from Camping world. Get the optional bug screens at about $10.00 each. Available in white, black, or gray tint. Took me about 30 minutes each to install. Very nice to be able to leave vent fans running when it is raining as the rain sensors do not close down fans unless it is really raining hard.

I too have them installed. I would recommend the dark one for the bedroom area, and the grey one for the kitchen area. It makes a noticeable difference.

What "uraljohn" said. Get the real thing for over your Fantastic Fans. You won't regret it. We've installed them on all three of our AS 30s. Smoke Grey are the longest lasting for some reason. The white and black seem to crack in the sun more quickly. Go figure.

Any size concerns or is it all one size fits all. I’m thinking about installing them on my 25 FBFC. We do some boondocking an even with a generator fans make more sense. Last week we had som drizzle that shut off the fans but really wasn’t a lot of rain and I think the hoods would have been enough to keep out any water.
