@Meeks
You are welcome. If you happen to be in Farmington, for the International, I will be there as well and would be happy to share my experiences.

No doubt I will do this for the outlet in the main room as I would like to plug my computer in there. But, it may require additional wiring if no ground is available.

Hi Msmoto,
Do you happen to know why Airstream plugs those outlets with plastic?
I was thinking of doing the same thing as you but became worried that possibly Airstream was plugging those outlets because the wiring or fuses would not support both outlets simultaneously.
If this started a fire, then I suppose I would be at fault.

The trailer wiring is mostly AWG 14 as best I can tell, easily enough to handle the 15 Amps, but in addition, the circuit may be further protected by a 10 Amp fuse. I need to check that sometime.
Also, because of the physical location, where a small child could easily stick fingers in the outlet when on the seat at the dinette, that liability issues or simple safety rules have the second outlet plugged.

Tommie, love it. Just ran across this thread on one of my many sleepless nights as of late. Airstream dreaming is quite conducive to daytime nodding I've found. I like the fact that you bought one of the nicest Airstreams made and found many ways to improve it. I've never seen an idea that couldn't be improved. Well, except for metal caps on those 6 ounce glass Coca-Cola bottles.

All welcome to post
This seems to be a good idea to post mods in one thread, but photos are so very helpful. Especially when we have worked our tails off to get the final outcome....so, my curtains, posted all over the forum, but after the third iteration.....

Thanks
My goal is to make the Serenity into something which has the softness of the new Classic....which was not offered when I purchased my Serenity two years ago.

If you go full length, plan on sanding off a 1/8" or so off the edge of the middle shelf. I used a utility knife to peel off the trim, a 3" belt sander, and the mirror glue for placing the trim onto the edge.

Great thread! We are picking up our 30RB FC in June. I hope to incorporate a lot of your ideas.

Has anyone done anything different with the little window in the bathroom door? Just curious. I really don't care for the yellow flower look.

The little window... it goes away when one removes the door.... LOL
I had thought of replacing it with a clear Lexan, then place a curtain on it. But, in my 2009 27FB, I did this....

Looks nice and tidy, and you no doubt removed a bit of weight from that side of the AS as well.
Nicely done!
