My adjustable spots were actually from Tiffin Motorhomes in Red Bay, Alabama, purchased from the store at the Allegro Service Center. Then from Dan at LED4RV.com I purchased the warm white spot bulbs. You can contact Dan at
LED4RV
4022 North Main St.
High Point,NC 27265
USA
Toll Free 1-(866)-244-6591

Dan supplied LED's for my 2009 Int 27 FB which i converted to full LED. He also supplied all the LED's for converting my Tiffin Allegro Bus 43 QGP to LED's. (Like about a zillion of them...LOL). He has always stood behind the products he sells and I believe tests each one individually so as to eliminate sending out poor product.

Here is a similar unit from his website.

Brushed Nickel Warm White reading light 4019SpotWW1w SKU536 [4019SpotWW1w] - $24.95 : LEDs 4, Recreational Vehicles

There may be a variety of spots he sells and he will be happy to talk with you on the phone. He is very familiar with the Airstream product.

Three bathroom lights?

Gosh, I now have three bathroom lights, one which can be switched off when not needed for make-up adjustments...LOL

Well, I do NOT have three Airstreams....but can not figure out how to change my signature..

The 25 footer was the first, traded after about six months for the 27 FB. This I kept for a year or so then purchased a Tiffin Allegro Bus, 43 QGP, which I sold in February of this year after driving it 51,000 miles and promptly ordered my new 30RB so I could be back into something reasonable and also rejoin the WBCCI.

Our 25' RB Airstream shares the exact bath design as the 30' models. For the life of me I could not understand why the bath door opens to expose the fixtures and occupant to the living room, or why not a larger mirror.

So I unscrewed the bath door, flipped it over and attached to the opposite side. And added a mirror and moved the towel loop.

Love the added mirror....next project....
As to the door, first, on my 2009 27FB, I removed the door and made it into a curtain entrance. If more privacy were desired, I could close the folder doors across the hall.
Modifications To My '09 27fb Ocean Breeze - I have eliminated the bathroom door and replaced with Ocean Breeze curtains Photo Gallery

Now, on my 30 RB Serenity, the door opens to the rear, and this way it can be left open against the wall and not in the way. I believe the bathroom in the 30 RB is about 10 inches longer than other units and this extra length provides the door open opportunity. For this reason, i have not taken the door off.

On the 28 Serenity - the bathroom door is correct, opens to block visual field of the living room. However I've thought of adding stops and hooks to the door and to the panel across the hall that hides the living room folding door and see if I can create a mechanism where the bathroom door serves both toiletry isolation but also better shower isolation.

Now, if I can instead figure a good solution to replacing the screen door with a two or three stage pocket door that's a bit more substantial....

After some consideration i decided to change all the lights with warmer gels. The result is similar to the colors i have attempted to portray here:

Latest Lighting Under Bed

Having great frustrations not being able to see the storage area under the bed, i wired in a line of LED's (LED4RV.com) which come on when one lifts the bed to access the storage area. Also in the circuit is a SPST switch so I can turn the light off if I have the bed up loading, unloading, or just leaving it in the up position.

Great thread! Thanks for posting all the mods.

After realizing that the 2016 30FC Recliner model we ordered has bins over the dinette (creating a more cramped space feel and eliminating two vista view windows) we have decided to switch our order to a 30 Intl Serenity Recliner - no bins over the dinette and 3 vista view windows, makes for a more open feel and more natural light.

Do you find that the translucent doors on the upper bins visually reveal a little too much of the bin contents? Any thought of making those translucent panels just a little bit less translucent?

Also... the cold white LEDs that Airstream is using is so harsh. Too bad they don't use warm LEDs. Are the LEDs readily replaceable with warm white LEDs? What is the gel mod that you mentioned? Inserting an amber colored gel between the LED and the glass surface of the light?

2015 Serenity Modifications

The gel is, I believe called "bastard " amber, this gives an almost pinkish light, but I like it. Yes the doors overhead...I wish I had Flying Cloud doors. One could do a lot of things to these, mine have the lights a bit more on the yellow side in these compartments, but may end up with bastard amber.

On another thread I described how to remove the lens of the puck lights so as to place the gel, but this is done with a non- serrated steak knife....

One more addition

Here is my first iteration of my window valences. They need a bit of tuning up, but actually do their job quite well, as is.

OK, I am curious as to how you manage to keep the espresso area clean and neat, that is without lots of water close by to clean up. Your unit must be less messy than my old Elektra semiautomatica.

Espresso area clean?

Thanks, and here is what I do.

1) buy lots of paper towels.....
2) before frothing the milk, I test steam slightly into a folded paper towel next to the Gaggia.
3) Once the espressos or cappuccinos have been finished, I wipe up with the paper towel, then sweep all the coffee grounds from the floor, and dry with a cloth.....

Truth...I am looking for a triangular cooking pan to set all the stuff in, or will figure out a way to place more finish on the table. Three coats of polyurethane are working so far, but as things move forward, improvements can be made.

As we all know, the making of a good espresso, cappuccino or other coffee delight is not done without a small amount of coffee grounds finding their way all over....seems true no matter what I do. Love it!

Two threads?

My apologies for apparently having started two threads on the mods to my Serenity.

The other stuff is here, for this interested.

Msmoto,
I believe you did a mod with the electrical outlet near the lounge tv. Did you just replace the receptacle with a double or was there more to the mod? Is there a reason AS decided to make that a single to begin with?
Thanks

Electrical outlet

In the main room I have not yet modified the electrical outlet. In the bedroom, in order to power my computer speakers, which are the external speakers for the bedroom television, I simply cut out the plastic over the area where the prongs of a plug enter the outlet, and the electrical contacts were already in place, wired, and ready to go. No doubt I will do this for the outlet in the main room as I would like to plug my computer in there. But, it may require additional wiring if no ground is available.
