19 International mattress suggestions

Ideas on how to upgrade. The factory appears too thin/hard for my large frame. Nights would be better if I could mimic home Tempur Pedic Breeze. What can be bought to compare...or upgrade existing with enhanced thickness?

Mattress Insider made us a memory foam mattress for our safari. Best sleep we've had in 5 years owning our AS

We bought a memory foam "topper" from Costco several years ago. I had to trim it with a sharp knife and cut the radius where the bed curves. Very comfy. I think it was around $80 but can't remember

Rocky mountain mattress have several models that they can make to the exact shape to fit the corner bed. They are in Salt Lake City.

WE have a 1959 Flying Cloud and had to have a custom mattress made to fit it. We did lots of research and went with Rocky Mountain Mattress. WE literally sketched the shape on white butcher paper and sent it to them. It is memory foam with a topper and it is incredibly comfortable. they also made custom mattress pads and sheets as well. I highly recommend them. They were quick on the turn around and very easy to work with too.

Buy 4 inch foam and a 2 inch topper. Both can easily be cut to shape using an electric knife. Two pieces of 4 inch foam for twin beds cost me $168, the topper I already had so repurposed.

I'll second the recommendation for Rocky Mountain Mattress Co. They had me request a mattress template from Airstream (which was quick and easy via email to Airstream Support) and the mattress fits perfectly.

We got the 10", but I think the 8" would have been fine for a little less money. It's extremely comfortable. Size issues aside, I think it's more comfortable than the Casper mattress we have in the house.

We upgraded our twin beds with mattresses from the Foam Factory in MI.
Great service and will make them to your specs, size, cover, and foam exactly like our Temper-Pedic at home.
Can't go wrong with these guys.....and 1/3 the price of others we checked with.
Good camping!!

We ordered the Select Comfort (Sleep Number) short queen with radius bottom corners from Camping World for our 30' AS. We tried a combination of foam toppers and feather beds but my wife still had back problems. This mattress solved our problems and interestingly we like quite different firmnesses.

I bought a foam mattress topper from Wally World and now the bed in my Airstream feels just like the Tempurpedic I have at home.

Texas Mattress Makers in Houston does custom mattresses at remarkably low prices. My husband and I had a custom king (individualized construction / softness on each side) made for our stick and brick house, and I could hardly believe the price - their custom product was about half of what retail would have been for an ordinary standard-issue mattress. And we had delivery within 5 days of ordering.
