I've taken many vacations alone over the last 20 years, and although I'm a guy, I never felt threatened at any RV campground.
They're good people. Always willing to help.
Out west, I had a tire blowout on the trailer (twice) both times, someone stopped just to see if I needed help. Great!
I did carry a gun legally, but never even got it out of the drawer.
Bad people don't go camping.
Use common sense, don't go into the wilderness alone.
