Airstream Solo T minus 24 hours and counting

I get my 73 Argosy tomorrow and begin moving in. Also first night living solo in an airstream.

I am excited. Just out of a 3 1/2 year relationship and decided to jump in head first! I am so excited, I can't wait for the adventures I am going to have.

Welcome to the AirForums! Glad to have you with us.

Fortunately, your relationship with you new Airstream should last more than three and a half years. However, be warned that an Airstream can also be very demanding and needy!

Nice unit. Just like the one my brother-in-law had for a number of years. Solid and reliable. Have a great time and post pictures of your sites and sights.

I'm so excited for you! I'm going through a separation right now (3.5 yrs here too) and am wanting to hit the road and live in an Airstream solo.

What are you planning on doing for work? I'm trying desperately to find a telecommute position before I plan to leave in January, but I'm so motivated to try out this lifestyle, that I'm thinking I might just have luck picking up temp jobs in whatever city I happen to be.

Of course right now my biggest issue is trying to make my family members understand why I would want to fulltime RV and throw caution to the wind job wise (though admittedly it is scary).

Please let me know how it's going!

The following young fulltimers don't own Airstreams but they live fulltime in their RVs. The first lives off his youTube videos and the second works seasonal jobs. It can be done!

Im a new solo traveller. Just travelled from SC to TX and back over 20 days in AI. I prefer campgrounds to dry camping as my rig will need modifications to boondock. Met many nice people on the road. People even come up to you at gas stations to ask about your airstream. Would love to connect with others and minicaravan some trips. Did join loners on wheels but have not connected with them yet...hope to soon. That group is national and will have 50 year anniversary in branson oct 2019.

Welcome to all the new solo streamers. You will find an abundance of information here and you can drill down under the Forum >Trailer > model to get specific information on your model and year. It’s a great resource for everything Airstream. Hope you have a wonderful and a safe journey.
