Question Western U.S. Fly Fishing Airstreams

Does anybody know of an AS group around fly fishing in the Western States
(Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah)?

Check out the WBCCI Denver CO unit. I know members of that club do a lot of fly fishing, they may have a fishing rally.

There are members of the Four Corners Unit who are flyfishers also.

I'm in. We had 2 AS in Maupin, OR for the September steelhead run. Also in May for the salmon fly hatch. We're planning Montana next summer as a third stop.

Could be fun...

We would be interested, and are members of the Denver Unit that Teresa mentioned. The Unit doesn't have a fishing rally, but fly fishers are always there if there is fishing to be done.

Maybe kind of a joint rally for the southwest units or simply of Region 11? I know that there are a few avid flyfishers in some of the other units (DenCo, 4CU, NM, AZ ...)

Some of the best trout fishing around is on the San Juan just below Navajo Dam. Seems to be some good camping nearby, too.

While not avid or experienced, developing a bit of fly fishing expertise is a high priority. We have a local club that is reported to be very active and supportive of new waders, which should help significantly. My performance may prove to be more flailing than fishing, but has the potential to be a fantastic experience.

Hope to see you all out on the water. Pat

We live on the East coast but we find ourselves in a few of those states every year so Sam can fly fish. She's the angler in the family, I ride my bike.

LFM, Laurel, We go right by you all the time on our way to Rock Creek and the Rosebud. Also thru there on our way to the Stillwater south of Columbus and to the Boulder south of Big Timber and points west.

Anyone have a recommendation for a good fishing stream with convenient camping in the area around Mesa Verde, Colorado. Pat
