Thanks! Our kids are grown, but I can still do sidewalk chalk.

Thanks for the offer Shermybaby. Do you have suggestions for what stuff I should be collecting to start polishing with? So far I know to get the Dewalt for the buffer....

Thanks,
Mark

Try out the North Cascades website in a few days for the current newsletter/rally calendar, supposed to be posted soon.
Suggest a time & place to gather on the Ea. side (dry side), and I'm sure you would get a response.

Hi fellow PNW's.
I notice that the ratio of "Views" to "Posts" on this forum is very low compared to others in the same vien.
Why is that? Are we anti social or apathetic up here?
May I suggest that the big city of Seattle and the mountain passes present a barrier to many.
I can see why those in the South may prefer joining an Oregon club as it's closer and those on either side of the mountains don't feel like dragging a trailer over the pass's.
Anyone around Bellingham feel like a cup of coffee and talk shop??
Del

Del- we have several in our club from up your way (actually most), so most of our rallys (North Cascade unit) tend to be in that general area. We are from the Kitsap peninsula, so we try to get one rally on that side of the sound, but we love the Oregon & BC unit rallies, as well as any vintage rally.

Eventually I wouldn't mind making over the mountians to the west side of the state. But it also rains less than half the time on the east side than the west side. I do think you are right about the mountian passes.

I know that Lake Easton state park is a big beautiful lake, trying to meet somewhere half way is an idea.

Check the North Cascades Unit December 2012 newsletter for the 2013 rally schedule. Sorry there aren't any on the east (dry) side this year.

Buffaloman- Of course you are welcomed. Our first rally is on N. Whidbey, and Lake Goodwin in July. Both are not too far for you.

Too bad we're not closer to Spokane. I ride motorcycles too, all kinds old and new, and enjoy fellow Airstream and motorcycle enthusiasts. Also don't have the time or inclination to join the formal clubs, but love to synch with like minded enthusiasts and share tips.

We are anxiously awaiting the North Idaho / Spokane group development for us to drive / attend ... any updates?

We're Ready to Join!

Just got our first AS Flying Cloud last summer and we are so ready to join a group! We're in Olympia but love Eastern Washington and Oregon. Thanks for all the great info. I'll be checking out all the sites you suggested. Expect to see us this summer!

I don't know how I overlooked this thread previously. The truth is 'if you rally, they will come'. Post up here that you are going to be at such and such campground on such and such date, and it's a rally. Somehow Airstreams instinctively flock to such events and spontaneous potlucks occur! Our informal NW group has been doing this for years, mostly on the west side of the state, but not always. No dues, no newsletters, just good times around the campfire.

Lets pick a spot and do it again - soon

Let's rally at the Roslyn vintage trailer weekend in June. It's dry camping. Go Seahawks!

I can drycamp for a long weekend, no problem. Will your Globie be ready to hit the road by then?
