New sub-club: Snail Tribe

I just learned that the Chinese call RV people the "snail tribe" because they carry their homes on their backs. I like it. I'm actually amazed that there is RV activity in China--(I must get the phone number of that phone booth I've obviously been living in).

I declare myself USA member #1 of Snail Tribe, International. Rules to follow soon, something on the order of 4CU's rules.

As long as you don't have to be ethnic Chinese, I'll join. As far back as I can trace my ancestry, not a single one of us has died in the same town we were born in; I come from a long line of wanderers.

Being a snail could present a problem during the winter when the roads are salted...

I'll join, though primarily because we move from place to place at the pace of a snail.

Sprouty has already appropriated the nickname "The Snail" for his Argosy, but the name "Escargot" is still up for grabs. Or "S-cargo" if you like.

Its a little slimy right now I was thinking about "The Slug" but it is about the color of a snail and the slime will be goone in short order.

I thought about it, but Zeppelinium is my second name, so I wouldn't want to be a 3-time loser. I'll stick with Zep.

Because I only travel 5 MPH over the speed limit and am always the slowest thing on the road, I think I qualify, but starship enterprize (earthbound by slime) is getting to be a rreeaall mouthful.

A lot of folks only know Zep by Zep. Some one came by our camp once and was looking for him by his other name and we sent them on cause no one knew who they were looking for.
hey Zep, I just emailled you our application, need you to look at it and add a better camp plan before I hit the submit button.

Oh, and our snails don't like winter salt either, I have a stainless steel post I use for flag pole I gotta replace cause of road salt.

Snail Club

Slowmover should get to be a vice-president by virtue of his name.

I too have had the problem of looking for Zep when I used his first name—which is much easier to spell than Zepillumianistic or something. If you look for slowmover, people may know him by Rednax.

I think I drive too fast to be a snail, but maybe can be a member of the auxiliary of Superchargedsnails.
