Displaying TAC numbers
Has anyone decided on a uniform way to display our TAC numbers on our rigs? I may have missed this somewhere along the way......
Thanks

Doug the general consensus is that any member can use any method, size, or color of numbers that they desire. The club will not be burdening the membership with excessive rules and regulations.

There will not be any rules on this. This will always be a do as you wish situation. I do not have USA-1 on my rig, but I sure sport my Club back and front...

Unfortunately, the Man will be requiring a few rules out of us. Hopefully they will be right in line with what Chris said.

Here's how we roll:
We have another TAC sticker as well as our numbers up front, but I don't have a good pic of it at the moment, and don't feel like getting wet to take one.

Indeed...
I have been reading WBCCI threads and remember glancing at the new "TAC" thread awhile ago, but passed over it briefly for fear it was a WBCCI-alternative, like his little brother, and not actually the rebellious little weird cousin.
As soon as I read this specific thread and saw the types of people involved, I decided to join. An atmosphere that is open to various choices for displaying numbers and is so overly willing to empower creativity rather than silence it is a good group. PLUS the fact that the "Wally Byam" CCI doesn't seem to be supporting the same types of events that Wally himself supported in his day. Instead they are catered to just moving your house on wheels to a new location and meeting up.
For the purposes of TAC, I will be more than willing to organize joint boondocking trips once we finish our trailer-- going geode rockhounding or trilobite hunting in the Mojave, hiking and backpacking along Big Sur coastline, etc. These are all items which really did not seem to fit the WBCCI theme. That and I am only 25, with between 1 or 2 generational gaps between most members in that group and as a result suffer on the mutual respect aspect. Remember, it's impossible for 25 year olds to be mature Apparently.
But now I have found a place where I am confident that the enthusiastic, open, and adventurous attitude of Wally willy truly prevail.
So to this thread, and to the TAC, I give you my thanks.
- Peter

Also, don't forget to join the TAC member threads here within airforums by clicking here, locating The Airstreamers Club, and clicking on the Join Group radio button -- please be sure to do this AFTER you've gotten your membership info from Nicki, and include it in your request! Welcome to the club (BTW, we're in our mid 30's, so we're not TOO much older than you are )

Well then I'm doing my job promoting membership.
I have a private goal to have the most members from any region but it's tough going against Texas and California.

Wow! rock hunting is what I am up for. I have been hunting and finding fossils since I have been airstreaming. I have a rock and fossil collection. I sure would like to find some trilobites.

Displaying TAC numbers was the original topic I think.
What I did was Cover up those tell-tale RED NUMBER shadows with some nice BLUE NUMBERS. Made for me by a gentleman in Fla I believe.THEY went on prefect and did a great job of covering. NOW all I need is one of them there TAC Logo Stickers fer the back winder and Ill be all set. Excuse my age I fergot where to send for the TAC sticker, someone refresh my failing memory.
THANKS
ROGER

Shoot, wish I'd known at Detroit-Metro that you wanted a TAC sticker, Roger. I've got 1 or 2 in the Airstream to sell. I can still send you one, though. Shawn (exthemius) on here was the source of them...not sure if he's still got any. The going price is $10. If you're interested, Roger, when I get home I will verify that I still have one and if so I can send it to you.

We'd also like a sticker if anyone has one available.
Thanks!
