1811 is almost out of view on the right on the other side of the fifth wheel.
I promise you I did not come here without my trailer!

Whew! I was beginning to wonder! With all that y'all have going on, you'd think that SOB fifth-wheel would have been parked in a different area.

Looks like a nice variety of 'Streams on hand...an Interstate, a slide model and you have to admit, a triple axle Airstreams just looks majestic.

Your TV is a nice match for your AS...like that bed cover, too. But I was hoping to see those wheels on your trailer....guess I'll have to escape from work and actually show up at an event if I'm going to get to see them. I have a buddy that is a LEO in Meridian and I've had him monitoring his scanner to make sure you don't run off the rails up there. No negative reports on you and I must say I'm proud of you...so far.

Some "non-traditional" 'Streams beyond 1811-

I bought the wheels, tires, Centramatics, and Dill TPMS, then I mounted/balanced/installed it all myself!

I can relate to that. Tooling down the road, I can think about what fun I'm going to have when I get there rather than worrying when a Marathon is going to make me loose my religion.

An added benefit is when on the forum, I can just pass by those Marathon horror threads as I know it no longer applies to me.

Thanks for the pictures, M.Hony, as I didn't want to put you to any extra trouble. Frankly, I don't care what Don and Terraseta say about you,....you are alright in my book.

Hold it now!
Watch your mouth!
We're home from the rally- got a funeral and a wedding-
Some folks are still there.
I think there were 11 units total.
7 trailers, 2 of them 34'- 1 28' slide-
2 Interstates- a 2004 and a 2014.5-
1 front engine gas motorhome- 2006
1 diesel pusher- XC390?
You do know Don and Terraseta live 2 doors up, right? 2 Airstreams in Greenwood, and their owners live on the same block! What a coincidence-

Just trolling around....

The PA was fun but a nice fellow obviously wanted it worse than I did. He's a guy that knows all about having fun and I'm happy for him as it will be put to good use. I delivered it to Reno, NV and never looked back.

Still got my 28' Signature and just bought a new trailer to start rigging out next week....single axle this time. I went from one end of the spectrum to just short of the other end. 19' Flying Cloud.

Guess I'll have to move to a new area to post and stir them up.

I haven't been this excited since the hogs ate my little brother.

Pan America... Why? Why not?

Sure wish those on this thread were closer to the west coast! It takes me days to get to these rallies, and retirement is just too far away! Sure would be fun to get the moto-streamers together. If anyone heads up to the PNW, holler as I can host a trailer (I've got water/power/sewer hookups).

Zack, finally pulled the trigger on the Metisse. It's being assembled in the U.K. as I type, using a rebuilt 750 Triumph twin, and right side shift.

Here's a look at when it's completed:

Had a chance to take the KTM out in Idaho back country and sure would have enjoyed the PA's garage. Loading a 500 bike solo in the truck is no fun! I swapped the 28 FC for a 27FB International so I was able to do the shakedown at the same time. Much prefer the 27s layout.

I've turned my attention to car projects. I located a 914-6 with a 3.2l flat six pushing about 240hp in a 1900 lb chassis.

I was going to do a clean restoration but decided to leave as-is as an outlaw car - the interior is stripped and has a roll cage so perfectly set up for auto cross.

I recently found a nearby 914 project that was a great candidate for a cleaner conversion so working on doing a more period-correct, tamer 914-6 version probably using a 180hp 2.7l six and no wide flares.

The PO lost interest but not before he had completed some extensive body and paint work. The project lacked an engine which I had so quite serendipitous.

Sure would be fun if this thread participants lived in closer proximity!

Strange how things work, Z. I was thinking about you just a couple days ago and wondering about your PA. Looks like you are still having a great time with the 'Stream, new or old. Good on ya!

a 914:6 is a beautiful thing. My first car was a 914 2.0. I probably wouldn't have made it to my 18th bday if I'd had a 914:6.

Love this panamerica thread. For a lot of us, this is as close as we'll ever get to a PanAmerica. I wish Airstream would have made more, as I'm in a position where it's the only Airstream that makes sense for me, and I can't find a single one used (no surprise there).
