European Airstreams

has anyone looked at the airstream corp. website and checked out the units sold in england? it seems more thought and design goes into the export models, I wish they were sold here.

I've been in them in the factory. I really love those trailers; the layouts suit me particularly well. Plus, I'm a fan of a lightweight, narrow-bodied trailer. (After all, I just bought an Argosy Minuet.) I also like the European frames with the surge brakes; makes it easier for me to borrow tow vehicles and not hassle with a brake controller.

But. I'm not so sure these would ever be a profitable venture for AS to sell here, unless fuel prices go sky high and tow vehicles shrink. Still, if I was rich and could convince Jackson Center to sell me a 534 or 684 double...

To small to narrow and surge brakes su#$%&$%*&$^#$%s.
I live in the netherlands and all our trailors overhere have surge brakes.
I do realy like the E brakes on my Airstream.
Also European trailors and the airstreams for the EU market have a tonque waight of less than 200 poud.
Passing a lorry of a bit of wind you can expect a lot of sway.
