It was my understanding that it was originally hit by a tree! You should buy it and repair it!

I currently own this Globetrotter Airstream/ art project. Yes, it was a case of making lemonade from lemons. This Art teacher owned it, a tree oe tree limb fell on it, He built a support set up inside and put the gutted piano on top. There is a message to it, I guess but I don't know what it is. Any interest?

I've now met the original owner of the Globetrotter. He's a retired Art teacher from Utep. Nom d'art: Straight White. His far out art and metal sculptures have been exhibited in many cities. He named the airstream/piano: "Undeterred they continued driving South" The trailer is also in a play by Utep department of theater. I couldn't locate that on Utube, but it should be there.
I picked up the piano yesterday, Just to keep the piece together. He would remove the piano when traveling. The sound board and tuning board and all working parts had been removed making it much lighter.

I love the art piece, especially the title. Opportunity knocked (really hard) and the artist answered. That said, I do hope you'll be able to restore the trailer and use it as a camper again someday, as it looked beautiful other than the branch damage. Sometimes, art should be ephemeral - just ask Kristos.

I Love it. Lemonade from Lemons! Now it can be restored after it's brief performance art career.

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to restore the trailer. It will take some metal work which I'm not qualified in. I'm looking for a brave hearted soul to take this on.

It is unlikely this could be restored. Original door missing, window frames look twisted, ribs all mashed up...
