1989 370 on ebay

Up for auction on ebay is an airstream 370? with a Ford 460. I can just see my wife when I park that thing in the driveway! It looks like a beached whale.

Since this seems to be somewhat of a rarity, what would be its ups and downs? The video says it has air ride and air horns. Does it make sense that it probably also has air brakes?

I haven't called the chaplain for more information, but I'm especially interested in the salvage title and the damage caused by water in the midsection.

Would that window be a standard A/S issue? Is anything standard about this coach? Talk me out of it! Wouldn't a novice be better starting with like a 310 or a 280? Help!

I haven't seen the ad, but 'salvage title' - huge red flag!

No to the air brakes.

Thumbs down 1989 370 on ebay

Salvage title would be enough to stop me. With a salvage title you have a lifetime keeper. This depends on type and extent of damage too.

If the price was right, I'd buy it for parts...salvage titles allow you that, anyway...my problem is finding the real estate to put the parts-mobile on...other than that, you could always park it in Mexico for south-of-the-border ventures...
Seriously, I think there are still a few states that allow conversion titles, but I don't know which ones...maybe a google check?
