So.... this is our Airstream, we have posted our 23 ft. on Ebay after purchasing a 31ft. The issue we are having is that it has "Sold" 2 times, the second time with 2 different bidders, but nobody seems serious about paying for it, Do other people have experience with this? The new auction number is 121264772652. I don't think I could be any more thorough with the description/pics/etc. Are people just reading the description AFTER bidding?

Between your description and the video I would say plus’s and minus are well illustrated. It is definitely a work in progress. Frankly I find some of your modifications very nice [the bathroom] and some not so nice [the bar stools and the bed layout]. As you say could be a case of people not really paying attention to your descriptions and video until after the bidding war is over. Buyer’s remorse or people trying to get something for nothing?

Thank you for the response. I am glad you think that it is clear in the descriptions and video. I just want the buyer to know what they are getting.

The layout is pretty specific to our needs at the time. The couch/bed (gaucho) option would have been WAY more versatile and a dinette more comfortable. I think not having an AC unit could also be a pretty big mark in the demerit column.
We will have to see how things go moving forward.

I did not even notice the lack of AC. But that is something that could always be retrofitted if desired. It would be a necessity in my part of the country. I really like your bathroom design, the tile looks very good. I am a fan of the 23s no dinette layouts. If I can ever find someone honest to buy my Bambi II a 23 is what I am considering as a replacement. Good Luck for an honest buyer for yours.

Thanks! Wow, a Bambi. Even though it would be too small for us to full-time in... I am little envious. I hope that you can size up when the time is right. Thank you for the support!

UPDATE: What a Strange Process
We have had some strange requests from our ads. One individual that got our information off of the classifieds page said they wanted to buy it and would pay via Paypal and requested that we give them our paypal information. No thanks!

There has been a consignment place wanting to sell it for us calling and calling.

We have had several non paying buyers on eBay and a request to make the bed foldable into a couch. The foldable couch project has started. We have altered our post to reflect the changes being made but have yet to sell it.

What a strange adventure!

Decided we had grown tired of the eBay process and happily sold the Airstream to real live people that found us on the Airstream Classifieds and Craigslist! Hooray! Thank you for all the help and advice everyone here provided!

Does your safari 23 have a black water tank?

It does have a black tank (and no gray tank). The black tank is above the floor on the street side of the rear bath, it is the quarter-round style about 7-8" inches tall that requires a short toilet.
