I'm Completely new to airstreams and to actually have a blood relative to Wally on here is just awesome. I am just honestly in AWE of this. Peewee, I have read many of your posts and your pictures are truly a blessing you are sharing this information with us. These posts and history will be told by me to my kids around campfires and while driving down the road.

Could I have an autograph? It would be an awesome thing to have framed and placed in my Airstream.

Thank-you,
Shane

About ten days ago We were parked in our Airstream Flying Cloud in a Cracker Barrel parking lot in Prescott, Arizona when a man a little older than me (72), pulled up next to me and asked me if I was in the club. At first I didn't register what he was talking about, then I surmised he talking about WBCCI, of which we are new members.
I said yes, and we began a new conversation. We introduced ourselves and he began to give me a complete oral history of Airstream, and WBCCI. Turns out I was conversing with Airstream's immanent historian, Dale (peeWee) Schwanborn.
We've only been Airstream owners for two years and just got registered. Not only did I get to get a history lesson from the source, I got to learn that we are both Army Veterans and served in similar non-stop combatant roles.
We were so fortunate to have met this compassionate ambassador and unofficial leader of Airstream. I'm looking forward to meeting him again.
You never know who you'll meet on the road!
