Here is a picture of my Grandmother's Airstream. The picture was taken in the late 1960's. I just ran across the picture today while looking through some of her old files. The files contained all the items she thought were very important to keep so I know she loved that Airstream. The picture ranked right up there with all the family pictures. I hope the quality is good enough to identify.
This Airstream was used as a fishing camp in a cove of Lake Eufala, Oklahoma from about
1965 to 1975. We had a family compound on the lake and my uncle found this Airstream and installed it for my Grandmother's use. I am sure it was used when she purchased it. She loved to fish and, since, all her children had their own adjacent camps, she wanted her own place to enjoy with us. It was my first experience with an Airstream and I just loved it--the sheen of the aluminum and the wood inside. My Grandmother and I had lovely talks on her patio outside (until the steamy Oklahoma heat and mosquitoes drove us inside!) After her death, a dentist bought it to refurbish and hauled it away. I do wonder what happened to it. Guess I will never know.
However, I would just love to know the year and model of this Airstream. I have no other information other than this snapshot taken years ago. Can any of you Airstream Gurus help me out??
Thanks,
Caryl
