What year/model is my Airstream?

Hi,

My husband and I just purchased a home which is part Airsteam, part home on the water in Pennsylvania. The manufacturer's papers were stripped from the cabinets and it's on blocks so that it is very difficult to get the VIN number. All we have is a picture of a distinct carving in the paneling. I've started restoring the cabinets and I hope to keep going but I'm not sure what year/model this trailer is.

Bona98,

The inside does not look like an Airstream. Please post pictures of the outside.

I doubt very much you have an Airstream there. The top contours are not right, nor are the straight top to bottom walls... Perhaps some of our vintage kin owners could identify what it might be. It looks to be in very nice condition.

This interior looks a lot like a Vagabond trailer I once saw. My second guess would be a Spartan just because of how often they get mistaken for Airstreams. Definently not an Airstream

Thumbs up Thank you for all of your submissions!!!

Unfortunately I can't provide outside pics because it is totally enclosed within a house. It's on the water and there are about 5 more of these in the area that were placed on the property and then the new owners made a permanent addition by completely adding a permanent addition so that the trailer is covered.

I went online to see where my hubby can find the VIN number and I've been told that you can find it on the tongue of the trailer. Hopefully, the tongue hasn't disappeared in the update process so that we can find someone to give us homeowners insurance. My hubby is going to crawl underneath this weekend to see if he can find the VIN.

I still can't find a picture of a 1967 Vagabond and that blows my mind! The internet has access to everything! Lou (my husband) does automotive restoration from 1930 to 1970 and he's able to find information on the world wide super highway. I'm still stripping the cabinets and attempting to locate the hardware I need and I'm not going to give up.

You guys are the best!!!

Here is a link to a 1949 Vagabond trailer. One of the pictures shows the same interior with the cross between the cabinet doors.

This should bring up a whole bunch of Vagabond trailer pics plus a bunch of other stuff.
