Wally's Trailers, and Who Slept Where

This is a re-post for historical values and visability. The original post has been merged with a three year old post and will be lost.

I will add pictures of Wally trailers and famous Airstreams. The bulk of my postings are at the Sierra Neveda website.

Pee Wee

Also if you are interested in additional history go to the Sierra Neveda Unit to postings of historical items from the Estate of Helen Byam Schwamborn.

Also check out the Trail-R-News Cover and Airstream coverage in 1955.

As always, great stuff! Thanks for putting it up Pee Wee.

By the way, I still remember how to duck and cover.

These pix are fabulous. I learn more with every one I study. A case in point, here is Wally's bubble behind the convertible VW and it shows the 14 x 14 roof vent. Currently, the Bubble has a rectangular vent on the roof with an aluminum frame. Also, there's some gas powered device on the hitch. What was that?

Keep posting PeeWee.

Brad,

I betcha it is a small gasoline generator. Yep! I bet it is.

In 2009 too bad it wasn't left intact, and not gutted.

Thanks PeeWee, great set of pictures. Can you tell us anything about the advance Chevy/Airstream Truck camper?
