VIN questions on old trailer

I am trying to buy an old trailer and have the following VIN number off the hitch but cannot ID. there are 4 sets of numbers
F9145
129T9-6184
390
630

owner says that it is a 33' 1964. it has a dlb axel and has a INTERNATIONAL "plate" on the side.
I do not find that an International was made in the '60's
can anyone tell me the age of this trailer and any other info off the vin #'s

thanks
g

Hazard a guess

Hi Gnowlin,

I will hazard a guess, based on the second set of numbers that you provided:

It's a 29 footer; Rear Bath, Twin Beds; Built in 1969.

Chris

From your post, the VIN # is the second number you listed. Another place to confirm this number is on the long narrow plaque next to the door. But based on what you have, it deciphers like this:

I = International package
29 = 29 feet long (which makes it an Ambassador)
T = Twin Beds
9 = 1969
6 = could it really be a "J" or "S"? That's what it should be and based on that, if it is a "J" it was built in Jackson Center, Ohio and if a "S" it was built in Santa Fe Springs, CA
184 = the 184th one built that year

Check out this linked website and see if those trailers look like the one you are looking at...

Congratulations regardless!

Shari

129T9-6184 is very close to the VIN. If you take another look it might really be 129T9-S184 which would be correct. The S makes it a California made trailer. All the info in the above post matches for a 1969 Ambassador.

Sorry for interrupting but I have a question as well, I am looking at a 1985 Airstream, Soverign and the VIN is 1STTBAL28FJ502978, from what I can figure out by googling their's a couple of extra numbers in this VIN. So my question is how many 85 Airstream Soverigns did they make that year and what number was this one. I remember there's away to identify but I am can't remember.

International, 29 foot, rear bath twin beds, 1971 Jackson Center Ohio, sequential number 3068, I believe

By the way the first 1 is actually an I ...
