New products are good for the industry and consumer. Fiberglass doesn’t appeal to everyone, but there is a large FG community. I look forward to seeing a Nest in person, it looks like it has some nice features. Some folks say Oliver is the Airstream of the Fiberglass community. That may not be valid any longer! Mike

$46K is what they told me today. I saw 2 in Buda TX....next to a BaseCamp. All I can say is "shinny and expensive"; smaller then a Casita inside...and twice as expensive...but it is an AS!

We almost made the decision to take the Ollie path but we just could not get past the wet bath nor the too small dinette. Beautiful product and tech. No denying that.

I talked to Oliver not too long ago. They are developing a 27ft’er that is addressing the wet bath issue and increased counter space with larger fridge. No mention of a larger dinette. ETA is sometime 2019.

I need them to go the complete other direction! I need a toy hauler. They need to think BIG. I’m sad that I may need to sell mine

We saw one in person yesterday and while it is nice for it's purpose it is expensive and, as my wife said immediately, its not an AS.
But companies must continue to explore new markets if they want to grow. There must be some data somewhere that says this is a good bet for them.

The Panamerica, way more rare than the Eddie Bauer, was a toy-hauler plan as well.

Are you suggesting the Nest should have "toy hauler" option and perhaps be lengthened another, say....foot? I liked the Panamerica tri-axel, but too big for me...the Eddie Bauer is a nice idea, and the Tommy Bahama is a great extension of that plan... I think the only option for the Nest might be a Tommy Bahama type make over...for another say, $10K? I am sure there will be a following like there is for the Base Camp...just a bit too small and pricy for me.

Nope. Not suggesting that they do anything with a Nest / toy hauler option. What I’m suggesting is that they do what they already did. Make a dang toy hauler option for those of us that have toys to haul. Bring back the Pan! Why was it only available for one year? Where does one find that unicorn? It’s mind boggling that a AIrstream hasn’t seen the desirability of a toy hauler. Or at a minimum start a custom shop that caters to individual needs.

If one greases their palms with lots of $$$$, even a tri-axle has been seen to come down the line long after the last official one came down the line.....

An ATV or 2 of them won’t fit though the rear door much less have any floor tie downs. MAYBE my adventure bike. But only one. No. Not on ANY of the limited edition models. I also believe the dinette is on both sides of the door as well. There really is a large section of the market place either being not recognized by, identified by or interested in by Airstream. The other wonderful benefit is it’s also a screened in porch, of sorts. I wonder if the only place the marketing people at Airstream do their research with is at a friendly RV campground. I hit all types of campsites to do all types of Motorcycling, dirt bike riding, ATV riding, adventure bike riding where I’m limited to ONLY what I can put in the back of my pickup.i guess I’ll leave it at- if you as a company are looking to sell more units, you’re missing a large market segment. Or you’d see most of the Panamericas sitting on RV lots.

As a former Oliver owner I would seriously consider going back to them if they make a “comfortable” 27footer. We moved to AS because of the living space, but I have not enjoyed all the additional maintenance and leak repair. Fiberglass is the way to go.
