Is this a 1961 Overlander?

Is this a 1961 Overlander? I dont recall seeing wheel well openings shaped like these either?

I think Colin has it knacked. See 57Overlander

Slanted wheelwells are a clear sign of a California-produced model (from the Santa Fe Springs factory).

See the serial numbers for California '57 Overlanders at http://www.vintageairstream.com/arch...r/index.html-- "~6700 to ~6900." And then note that for '58s the California serial numbers start with 7000. Colin -- thank you! Extra kudos for checking in here at AIR.

This one actually shows the double axle with the slanted wheel wells like yours...

Hey thanks for all the help! Why do the 57 Overlanders serial numbers show 6700 to ~6900 if they actually go to 7000?

I would imagine the "~" means "approximately" or somewhere in the 6900's...nobody really knows what the ending number is.

Well I bought it. Wish it had all the original windows! Colin what axles do you recomend for tis trailer?

I really like that short rear window. It looks like a California chop job, but it was just those west coast factory guys being cool. Nice!
