History Detectives - Did the Airstream go to Africa in 1959?

I just recieved this from the Oregon Public Broadcasting.

History Detectives Season 6 premieres Monday, June 30, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. on most PBS stations nationwide. Check your local listing to confirm.

"Airstream Caravan" airs Monday, July 21, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. It is the second story in the one-hour program. "China Marine Jacket" is first, "Black Tom Shell"is third.

This is a special treat, since I was one of the persons interviewed in the program.

I also furnished pictures and other data to them.

The premise is did this Airstream go to Africa with the 1959 African Caravan.

The owners believed from things they were told that it did.

Tune in to find out the history of their trailer.

There is the scheduling of the program on local PBS stations. There may be different days and times depending on the station. The listing sent me by Oregon Public Broadcasting is the release and nationwide time slot.

Check your listings.

You may want to go on to the web and look at the scheduling for your local PBS station.

I was amazed at the effort that went into filming this one segment! No wonder they only do 13 episodes w/3 segments each in a year...the amount of footage that must end up on the cutting room floor (I guess it's pixels in space these days) has got to be amazing!

It'll be fun to see the culmination of this thread ~

Can't wait to see it! Those shows are fascinating, I could stand a whole episode on each subject. They do manage to fit a lot in.

Check your listings -- One Week Away. It sure is hard to pass around recordings in the day of the DVR, so nobody snooze.

Thanks for the heads up, Pee Wee!
