Famous dead or alive?

Perhaps it is easier to be dead and famous that to be alive and famous. Who cares, actually? To be famous is fatuous; better to be modest methinks.

I wonder who owns Ed's Airstream now?

And how about Fatty Arbuckle?

As a child we would go past the Spahn Movie Ranch (home of Charlie Manson & friends) and there was a raggedy Airstream there.

I guess we should modify the thread to famous and infamous.

At least one person on the list is still alive. Bill Mumy is still working and 52 or so.

I told some ladies I work with that my wife and I bought an airstream, and they all asked if Dr. Mc Dreamy or Matthew Mc Conohaugy came with it .

I laughed.

What about infamous? I had many people say I was infamous due my appearance on the VAP. Can I get on the list too? I was asked for tours of "the infamous Anna" while at the JAM last month.

What about the president of Mexico in 1937 or Halle Salasi in 1959?

Another live one . . .

Per Larry Huttle at the 2006 Hobo Rally in Blythe, CA, Julia Roberts bought an Airstream (model/length not specified) & her TV is a Hummer

Haile Selassie never received an Airstream. I don't know why, it just never came to pass.

William Holden

One of the African Caravanners left from Kenya. William Holden had his tree-top bush hotel. Bill or his agent bought the Airstream from the Caravanner.

They didn't own that! Somebody recently posted trying to figure out what sort of gold mine they were sitting on -- http://www.airforums.com/forums/f351...l-l-43667.html. Lessee, first thing I'd do is toss all the upholstery...

Yeah, and I've got Leonardo da Vinci's drawings of his Airstream concept.
