1963-1964 Around the World Caravan Photos
As a temporary home until I get the photos up on a server and organized, here is a link to recently scanned photos from the 1963-1964 Around the World Caravan.
The photos were taken by Cecil and Mary Tolle, (WBCCI 8671) and recently converted from slides to jpeg's by their daughter. Please enjoy, if you wish to use these for anything other than your own enjoyment, please let me know and I can get you in touch with the family to get their approval.

Scott and Megan,
Thanks so much for posting the images. They're amazing. (We just finished reading Macgregor Smith's Thank You, Marco Polo.) Cecil and Mary's photos give life to the book's pages.
Please extend our thanks to Cecil and Mary's daughter for sharing her parents' photos and taking the time to painstakingly scan them.
We're looking forward to viewing the photos-all 890 of them and circling the globe vicariously!
All the best,

Around The World Poster
Hi,
How ironic, recently I purchased a map titled Wally Byam Around The World Caravan....Do you know if there is much value to this poster?

no idea what the value is, would be interested in seeing it, and getting ahold of it if it becomes available.

Peter, congrats on getting an airstream, welcome to the forums!! If yours is the one just off ebay we've been talking about it the last couple days. Bob and I both have one of the around the world trailers, and based on the info on the ebay auction we're not finding any data supporting that one, but the data we have from the auction itself might be wrong. I'm sending you a private message with Joe, the Vintage Airstream Club's historian who can probably help you research better what you have.

Peter,
I also replied about this trailer in the other thread. I hate to be the bearer of potentially bad news, but I am doubtful that this trailer has the claimed pedigree from the ATW caravan. The sellers statement means nothing if not backed up with physical evidence, such a valid WBCCI numbers on the trailer that were on that caravan, proper paperwork showing original owner names (etc.), or trailer physical details that agree with photographs from the caravan. At this point, this trailer appears to have none of that evidence.
Should you get evidence that you think supports the claim, I would be happy to work with you to validate or invalidate that evidence.
