Just checked back on www.vintageairstream.com and not that much infomation other than photos.

RJ Dial says the Falcon (1958 to 1961) was much like other 22' models saying it was half Safari and half Caravanner in layout.

I have been in one Flying cloud that reminded me of this floor plan and door and window placement.

This is the no privacy/storage model for sure. My Safari has three separate sections with rear bath/mid double bed and two closets with vanity and front galley with gaucho. The open concept seemed like the way to go but separate sections are much better in use.

Hi kelleus, Welcome to the forums. How about some pics? Looks like you have a unique Airstream on your hands.

Airstream Falcons

Fred Coldwell, Vintage Airstream Club Historian, has some information on the Falcons. I once asked him about them when I saw a ’59 on eBay. He advised me:

“The Falcon was one of Airstream's late-Fifties "Custom Fleet", a group of trailers that had non-standard floor plans. Trailers with standard floor plans were known as the "Standard Fleet" in the late Fifties and were alleged to have cost less than custom built trailers, which had a minimum 10% surcharge in additional to the cost of all upgrades”.

In the "Airstream - History of the Land Yacht" book there's a double truck spread around pages 90-91 that has a '64 Falcon pulling a very small trailer called a Falcon....no WD hitch either from the way the front of the tv is cocked up...
