Glass is preferred, plastic in a pinch but I really draw the line at using the palms of my hands - too many impurities may alter the vintners efforts!

Waterford, of course. It only costs a little more to go first class. Gene Morris needs some of these for his Arkansas wine!

Can't always get what you want

We prefer glass but due to the fact that our cabinets sometimes automatically open during travel, we use plastic.

Glass or plastic?...what?...How about can or bottle?

Posted by a less sophisticated Airstreamer.

Yup.. Kate knows I post funny photos... of both of us

Photo with our teardrop... now those days aren't over... we still have it! Just came back from a big teardrop event we organize actually... but alas we are leaving for a week camping with the '40 Winker' tommorrow.

PS. I'll remind Kate to pack the mixer tonight!

Cheers

We travel with glass stemware wrapped in newpaper and kept in a big mixing bowl. Not a worry as far as breakage when traveling. Breakage while drinking, well.. that's different .

I think the trick to not breaking your glass stem wear is to never spend more than 99 cents per glass, Goodwill, Value-Village, etc. -Bernie

I use the Texas state parks frequently. We do keep the wine bottle out of sight, but I have never observed any well-behaved persons or groups bothered by the park personnel for using alcohol.

In fact, at our forum rally at Bastrop State Park each December, we always have a keg of locally produced beer. We have done this for the last four years or so without any problems. I think that the rule is to give the park personnel some leverage to get rid of troublemakers.

Making things as civilized and comfortable as possible is half the point of owning the most elegant travel trailer available, isnít it? . Glass, of course. I do endure composite place settings, though.
